	Other scratchbuilt models (e.g. Volvo, DAF) Photos of example and model. The models as shown below have been, except of the wheels, completely scratchbuilt. Click on pictures for large format (© copyright).

Oberman Hout Dokkum (NL) DAF T1500:


The example: Oberman Hout DAF T1500 in Dokkum (photo: DAF museum Eindhoven NL).	The first parts for the model of the DAF tractor: mudguards and engine hood.	followed by the chassis and grille,	After that the cab follows. The Wiking-wheels have been completed with Kibri-rims.


The semi-trailer with its swing-axles under construction.	The side-stakes of the semi are made from a brass strip.	The model ready for brushing.	The first brushing works with 'DAF-red'.


The floor of the semi received a layer of thin veneer.	Of course a load of sawed wood may not be forgotten...	The inscriptions at the cabin door were fixed with a thin layer of varnish.	The load of wood has been finished. The tilts were made from tissue and folded while using white glue.

	The finished DAF Torpedo model...	...photograhed in a suiting environment.

Feenstra & Zonen Dokkum (NL) DAF A 1600:


Feenstra & Zonen DAF A 1600	in front of the company's old building in Dokkum (NL) Photos: coll. FF	Model of the DAF A 1600. For the cab a copy-moulded one (Holland Oto) has been used.	The model was painted by hand and the inscriptions were printed (red) and made of rub-off symbols (white).

Frans Maas Venlo (NL) DAF FA 2600 DKA:

Fa. M. Verweij & Zn, Den Haag (NL) Volvo L495:


Volvo L495 of Potato trade Fa. M. Verweij & Zn. in The Hague, foto source: Internet	In scale 1:87: Volvo L495 of Fa. M. Verweij & Zn. from The Hague. Except of the wheels the model was scratchbuilt.	The potato bags were made of clay. The load covers were made of a tissue that was rubbed in with wood glue while folding.	Ladders and railing of the cover rack were soldered of metal wire (0,3 mm). The containers have inlays of fine veneer.


	The Volvo from The Hague with a load of Frisian potatoes.	Hopefully the bridge is able to carry this all...

The completely scratchbuilt unfinished...	...and finished model of the Kylfrakt Göteborg AB Volvo L495.	The model tractor has functional steering and lift axles. The engine hood can be opened.	The lighting was put into operation by working up the photo.
