Because of the short
nose of the L(S)56-type this nose had to be self-constructed in
order to make a decent scale model, The basic forms were cut from styrene plate... |
...of different sizes.
With the help of a nail file/sanding bar the parts were filed into
the right shape. |
Meanwhile the cabin
parts were cut and the chassis was put on wheels. The steering
wheels were made functioning with the help of Herpa parts. |
Two models of the LS5650
were made at the same time, one with a Be-Ge day cab and the Heiploeg-model
with a sleeper of the same producer. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
In order to make the
engine visible the hood has to be able to be opened of course... |
The Heiwo container
with removable roof. In order to keep the flanks in the right shape
two crosswalls were placed in between. |
Both models received a
refrigerator. The ladders were soldered from 0,3 mm
newsilver wire. |

The silos have been
made of small deo rolling balls... |
...which have been
made conic with the help of a small funnel and
2-components glue. |
The ring form of the
ball holders was made by heating a styrene strip around a brass tube
from the inside. |
During construction of
the semi-trailer chassis. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
The balls are falling
nicely into the chassis. |
The semi-trailer as
finished roughly. Handrails and rack were soldered from 0.3 mm
phosphorbronze wire. |
The trailer has been
made in the same way as the semi. |
The construction of
the tractor has been started with making the mud boards. |

that have been placed closely next to each other. |
